The Japanese
members of the African Union (AU) Parliamentary
Friendship League visited the Mitundu model
factory. The Mitundu group and the Minister
of Local Government and Rural Development held
a reception for them.

On the 24 of
July, JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization,
Ministry of Trade & Industry of Japan) mission
visited Malawi.
Their purpose of visit was to collect Malawian
products to be displayed at the African Fair,
which was held from 2nd to 4th September 2006
in Tokyo.

vice president of JICA, visited Malawi, He observed
OVOP Khumbo Oil Group in Blantyre. He paid a
courtesy visit to the Head of the State. His
Excellency Dr. Bingu wa Mutharika to exchanged
views on cooperation between Malawi and Japan.

The
Trade Fair was held in Blantyre on the 19-28th
of May. The OVOP stand and groups were sponsored
by JICA, OVOP Secretariat and the groups themselves.
OVOP products during the fair include; OVOP rice,
Orange, Tangerine fruit juices, Bvumbwe pasteurized
milk. Banana wine, Baobab jam and oil, cane furniture
and other OVOP products |
